Sacral neuromodulation was effective in only 7 patients (6 MPI and 1 AMS). Rather, the profile of the patient in whom NMS is effective is female, mature, and with PID. The long-term effectiveness of NMS is disappointing. Only 2 permanently implanted patients retained urinary benefit.
