The synthesis and characterization of new bis(bipyridine)ruthenium(II) ferrocenyl β-diketonate complexes, [(bpy)2 Ru(Fc-acac)][PF6 ] (bpy=2,2'-bipyridine; Fc-acac=functionalized ferrocenyl β-diketonate ligand) are reported.
