Serum samples from children were collected at birth (month and at 2, 7, 18, 24, 36, and 48 months of age to test for EV-A71 NT antibody titers using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)-based microneutralization test. The seroprotection rate (NT antibody ≥116) in children at months 0, 2, 7, 18, 24, 36, and 48 was 81.0%, 60.0%, 9.0%, 10.0%, 13.0%, 17.0%, and 37.1%, respectively.
