We report metal-free, photoinduced aerobic tandem dehydrogenative Povarov cyclisation/Csp3-H oxygenation reactions between N-aryl glycine esters and α-substituted styrenes, which efficiently lead to 4,4-disubstituted dihydroquinoline-3-ones under mild conditions.
