After adjusting for all other variables in the model, patients with noncommercial insurance had a 26% (OR 1.26, p=0.04) increased odds of secondary surgery. Patient age and surgeon years in practice were not associated with all-inclusive secondary surgery except for endoscopic treatment. Surgeon volume was not associated with secondary surgery. This study demonstrated that secondary surgery rates are underreported if followup is limited to less than 6 years. Patient age, surgeon volume and experience did not associate with all-inclusive reoperation
