CPME significantly ameliorate the lipid abnormalities in HFD-STZ-treated experimental model (p0.001) but fails to reverse the hyperglycaemia developed in diabetic rats with no protective effect on islet architecture (p0.05) as compared to experimental group while, GPZ showed protective effect on both lipid abnormalities and hyperglycemia by modulating the levels of lipid parameters and insulin respectively.
