Im a writer based in the UK. I wrote recently about art and traffic calming. Posting attractive images along the roadside is not the point! The goal is to incorporate artistic elements into our traffic control systems, such as sculptural speed bumps, visually appealing pedestrian zones, and crosswalks painted by street artists. Streets like these not only make people feel safer, but they also provide an opportunity for the community to express itself.
