Arsenic transforming bacterial strains belong to genus Pseudomonas sp.AK9 (KY569424), were isolated from the middle Gangetic plains of Bihar, India. The Pseudomonas sp. AK9 strains were able to transform toxic arsenite to a less toxic arsenate.
